DAY 01Hanoi Arrival – Half Day Hanoi City Tour – Private Tour

Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to a hotel.

This afternoon we head out to Ba Dinh Square, view outside the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Visit the famous One Pillar Pagoda founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049.

Move to the Hanoi Old Quarter, pay a visit to the Sword Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, before exploring the lively Old Quarter which will provide another fascinating insight into the character and history of the city, before moving on to Dong Xuan Market with its bustling stalls and brisk trading of day-to-day local goods. Finish the day with a traditional water puppet show.

DAY 02Day Trip To Ninh Binh – Tam Coc & Mua Cave – Private Tour

Depart your hotel this morning early for the 2-hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam’s first capital, Hoa Lu. Visit the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80) and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). In the late morning depart for Tam Coc Town for a Vietnamese lunch, along the way stop to take photographs of local villages and the stunning landscape.

Visit Mua Cave with 500 steps up to the Top of Mua Mountain. On the Top, you can overview all the nice scenery of Hoa Lu.

After lunch board your private sampan to visit Tam Coc. As the boat gently slices through the water notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields giving rise to the area’s other name, ‘Halong on Land’.

DAY 03Hanoi – Halong By Shuttle Bus (B/l/d)

This morning, we will depart for Halong Bay, one of the most stunning natural wonders of Vietnam. After breakfast at our hotel in Hanoi we will be heading out to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Around 12:00, we arrive at your jetty in Halong City towards noon and proceed with check-in formalities.
After your welcome onboard, lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay itself. In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board.

DAY 04Halong – Hanoi By Shuttle Bus Departure (B/brunch)

Enjoy your fresh morning in the middle of the bay, the sun rises on Halong in the morning and breakfast is served (brunch on some boats) while the vessels cruises slowly through the magnificent rock formations and back towards port. Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi.

Arriving in the afternoon, pick up at the hotel then transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
